Youve cleaned it up a bit, and i like the idea of having to farm in certain areas, which gives me an idea. Maybe you could be able to purchase fertile soil or top soil and dump it anywhere, or maybe something to enrich already fertile soil that gives faster crop production. Its a good start, it just needs more events of some sort other than the awards. It will be awesome. |
Hmm perhaps dark grass could be rich soil? What if the additional player slots(8 currently used) could be wolves and must raid farms to survive. They get shadowmeld at night and a burrow ability that costs mana to hop fences. And they will have a weak attack against sheep with lifestel. Could make the game more exciting. |
Wolves, not a bad idea. I once worked on a map for a while that i called harvest moon(its nothing like harvest moon), but it had like 2 different plant types, corn and wheat and like 5-6 different animal types. It wasnt thought out very well and had zero leak removal, and every animal ran off the same periodic trigger! god it was a very long trigger... anyway thats kind of off topic, but maybe you could add a new depth to the crop part, maybe you would have to water your crops and have a day/night cycle in which they only grow during the day. Use mana to represent growth, and when it reaches maximum, it spawns a consumable. I dont know, i just think it should be equally crop oriented as sheep oriented. |
Hmm could make a 'water' ability for the farmer that targets an area and fills mana of all crops within radius, it would of course cost mana to cast. |
